Discover our offer for shipyards and recreational boaters
An All-in-One Electrical Solution
Our design office assists shipyards (new builds, refits) and recreational boaters with the design or customization of their electrical system (marine battery, shore power connection…) and electronic systems (VHF, AIS…), as well as their deployment.
Dual Expertise: Marine Electrical and Electronic Systems
The comprehensive approach of our marine engineers and electricians is complemented by a mastery of the entire boat equipment chain, from the electrical panel to onboard equipment, dedicated to both navigation and comfort. As creators and manufacturers of the ShipHeart™ digital switchboard, we guarantee an independent, responsive, and tailor-made approach.
From design to transformation, including the optimization of your vessel, Koriolan supports you through several phases.
Our mission:
to deliver a functional and safe vessel
Our mission: to deliver a functional and safe vessel
To ensure the safety of vessels and optimize their energy autonomy, we apply a six-phase protocol:

Audit
Estimate a vessel's energy consumption
When at sea, energy autonomy is essential. At Koriolan, we conduct an audit to exhaustively list all onboard electrical and electronic equipment: household appliances, navigation system, watermaker, navigation lights, masthead lighting, electronics (screens, AIS, VHF), air conditioning, heating, bilge pumps…
Objective: to evaluate onboard energy consumption over a 24-hour cycle and compare the result with generated energy (solar panels, wind turbines, hydrogenerators) and stored energy (marine batteries).

Synoptic Diagram
A detailed overview of onboard electricity
We transpose the results of the vessel’s energy consumption audit onto a diagram that presents:
Electricity generation (shore power, solar panel).
Storage (boat batteries).
Energy-consuming equipment (230V, 120V, 48V, 24V, and 12V).
This diagram provides a visual representation of all energy flows on the vessel.

Power Budget
Aiming for Energy Autonomy
Based on various navigation scenarios, our engineers perform your vessel’s power budget. Once simulations and calculations are finalized, they provide recommendations regarding different generation equipment (solar panels, wind turbines, hydrogenerators) and storage (battery bank) for onboard electricity.

Vessel Electrical
Diagram
Mastering Onboard Electricity
Koriolan ensures the creation and provision of the electrical diagram for each vessel processed. This electrical plan not only streamlines shipyard preparation but also allows work to be carried out using a precise document, updated as needed. This strategic tool for the recreational boater serves as a pillar for future vessel developments.
Electrical Equipment Procurement
Our teams handle the ordering, reception, storage, transport, delivery, and installation of equipment (chargers, cables, circuit breakers, etc.).

Marine Electrical Installation
From Implementation to Testing
Our marine electricians travel onboard to carry out the physical installation of the entire vessel’s electrical network. Cable installation, pulling, labeling… All electrical wires, as well as associated equipment (fuses, circuit breakers…), are installed, connected, and identified.
Electrical System Testing
Power-up tests: the vessel is gradually powered up.
Functional tests of each piece of equipment: refrigerator, pumps, watermaker…
Stress tests: energy-intensive equipment (winch, windlass, thruster, etc.) are pushed slightly beyond their nominal use as part of an infrared thermography inspection (identification of potential hot spots).

Client Acceptance with Sea Trials
This initial sea trial after installation and onboard electrical tests aims to validate the proper functioning of equipment under real conditions. At anchor, in port, at sea, key navigation elements are also put to the test (windlass, thruster, genoa furler, etc.).
Recreational Boater Training
An introduction to the installed system is provided onboard to enable the recreational boater to achieve self-sufficiency and best practices in marine electricity. Included: a demonstration of how degraded modes operate to address potential issues.
The Koriolan marine electrical and electronic solution offers:
A 12-month parts and labor warranty
After-sales service included
For shipyards: Koriolan manages the warranty period.
