and Safety

Level Monitoring and Safety

Tank levels, battery bank status and auxiliary functions (water presence or intrusion detection, temperature measurements…): ShipHeart™ controls everything.

Equipping a boat with the ShipHeart™ solution also provides numerous safety functions with automatic detection:

  • of failure,
  • of leakage current,
  • of water presence in the bilges,
  • of intrusion…

ShipHeart™ integrates a true alarm system, accessible whether you are on board or remotely.

Energy Consumption and Home Automation

Onboard Energy Consumption: Real-Time Monitoring

The system communicates the energy history of each onboard equipment: this unique function allows you to know the boat’s autonomy in real time.
ShipHeart also offers a ranking of consumers over 1h, 24h, 7 days, and 30 days from the screen, or more from Ship2Net (ShipHeart™’s private cloud).

Marine Home Automation: Features That Transform Navigation

The marine home automation functions integrated into ShipHeart™ simplify and secure navigation. For example, the system allows for automatic switching on and off of navigation lights at dusk and dawn.
Or, for AC circuits, to shed load from the coffee maker when the induction hob is in use, if the inverter cannot handle the power consumption required by both appliances simultaneously.

A Modular Solution for Recreational Boats

Are new electrical or electronic equipment being installed on board? No solution is as flexible as the ShipHeart™ marine electrical panel to accommodate these changes. Indeed, the addition or removal of a module is automatically detected instantly.

Reliable Design, Maintenance Accessible to All

All components and materials used in the manufacture of our digital switching solution have been meticulously selected to provide the highest level of reliability. For maximum safety, ShipHeart™ integrates protections, redundancies, and backup systems necessary to address all eventualities.

Broken screen, damaged module? A degraded mode allows the digital switching panel to revert to manual activation of each circuit.

Need to replace a module? Plug & play, our solution offers the ability to swap components without professional intervention. A simple system restart resets the panel functions.

FAQ - Marine Electrical Panel (ShipHeart™)

What is the difference between ShipHeart™ and a traditional electrical panel?

The difference is primarily visual: a 10-inch touchscreen, regardless of the boat's size and number of equipment. A simplified, clear, and scalable installation, with modules distributed as close as possible to the equipment and bipolar wiring. Finally, functions inaccessible with a traditional panel: safety, alerts, home automation, energy savings, diagnostics, maintenance, etc.

I am looking for a 12V marine electrical panel, is ShipHeart™ suitable?

ShipHeart™ is perfectly suited in this case, as all its modules operate perfectly at 12V. The bonus: if your installation later evolves with equipment operating at 24V, it will only take a few minutes to adapt ShipHeart™.

I need a 230V marine electrical panel, can I install ShipHeart™?

Beyond 12V and 24V DC voltages, ShipHeart™ supervises AC circuits, regardless of their voltage (100 to 240V) and frequency (50 or 60Hz). Thus, ShipHeart™ allows for controlling and measuring the consumption of 230V powered equipment: water heater, oven, induction hob, power outlets, coffee maker,… and managing potential load shedding. But it is also possible to entrust ShipHeart™ with the automatic management of power sources: shore power, generator, DC-AC converter.

If I buy ShipHeart™, do you handle the electrical panel connection?

Installation can be carried out by any marine electrician operating at your home port.

However, we can also perform the installation and configuration of ShipHeart™ on your boat if you wish. This is particularly true for new boats or complete refits.

Does ShipHeart™ include a boat alarm function?

This is somewhat ShipHeart™'s DNA: to relieve the owner and crew of the mental burden of monitoring. Alerts are issued on board via messages and sounds; but also remotely via SMS or emails. And since ShipHeart™ has all onboard information, the owner decides the desired alert level: intrusion, water presence in the bilges, battery or tank level, temperature, etc.

Can I manage my battery bank via the ShipHeart™ digital switching panel?

Yes, supervising the status of each onboard battery bank is vital for safe and peaceful navigation. A ShipBS (Batteries Sensor) module allows for supervising any 12, 24, or 48V marine battery bank. And since the consumption of each circuit is monitored individually and in real time, ShipHeart™ is the only solution on the market to offer you a ranking of the largest energy consumers for each battery bank.

How to modernize your boat's electrical panel?

The simplest solution is to replace your boat's current electrical panel with a ShipBase module and install ShipPower8DC modules behind it. Existing cables are then reconnected to the ShipHeart™ modules. In less than a day, your boat is equipped with all ShipHeart™ functionalities. Of course, sometimes the electrical panel upgrade is only part of the modifications to be made. In that case, contact us!

What is the difference between the ShipHeart™ digital switching solution and those from Garmin EmpirBus / CZone?

There are quite a few differences between the ShipHeart™ digital switching solutions and those from Garmin EmpirBus / CZone. Let's list the main ones:

  • Wiring simplicity: all our modules are supplied with their connectors, which are detachable and tool-free. This is clearly not the case with alternative solutions.
  • AC circuits: while 230V circuits are becoming widespread on board (coffee maker, induction hob, …), the management of 230V circuits is very complicated, if not impossible, with other solutions.
  • Configuration simplicity: it is difficult to compare ShipHeart™'s configuration (directly on screen, without specific software or cable) to that of our competitors: use of dedicated and complex software (if not an obligation to go through the manufacturer or one of its service providers!), file loading on multiple onboard modules, etc. A difference visible during initial installation but also with every evolution of onboard equipment!
  • Installation cost: beyond the actual cost of the modules for each solution, it is necessary to include ancillary costs (cables, connectors, accessories) as well as indirect costs: configuration, programming, testing, … This is how ShipHeart™ can be up to 3 times less expensive than an equivalent solution!
