Our ShipHeart™ Digital Switching Solution

The ShipHeart™ digital switching solution precisely adapts to all recreational boats, both sail and motor, up to 24 meters in length.

Digital switching solution for boats

ShipHeart™ monitors:

  • all onboard DC and AC circuits,
  • tank levels,
  • the charge status of battery banks,
  • auxiliary functions (water presence or intrusion detection, temperature measurements, insulation fault, etc.),
  • the recording of internal or external data (NMEA 2000, J1939…),
  • the execution of automations (home automation),
  • the visual and graphical display of the boat’s status,
  • connectivity, onboard or remote.

Key feature: its ease of installation and configuration, achievable in just a few minutes. Without a computer, without tools, and without specific training.

One Dashboard, 3 Modules, 2 Accessories

ShipBase: The Boat Dashboard

Connected, tactile, and interactive, our ShipBase digital switching panel is the central element of the ShipHeart™ digital switching system. It is also the visible element of the system, featuring its 10-inch color touchscreen on its carbon face.

Equipped with internal sensors (humidity, GNSS, atmospheric pressure…), it is also capable of receiving numerous common sensors (tank gauge, temperature, voltage, leakage current, switches, push buttons, NMEA2000, J1939, DMX…).

Furthermore, it monitors all modules installed onboard to form the ShipHeart™ digital switching solution.

Key feature: its 3 front USB ports, useful for charging crew equipment. Measuring their power consumption allows for shedding equipment in case of insufficient battery charge.

3 Modules Connected to the Dashboard

Only 3 module references are needed to form a complete ShipHeart™ solution. Their number simply varies depending on:

  • the number of onboard equipment,
  • the size of the boat,
  • the specific needs of the owner.

As ShipHeart™ is a modular digital switching solution, the number of modules is scalable. Adding a module takes only a few seconds, and its configuration is done onboard, in the same amount of time, directly on the ShipBase screen.

ShipPower8DC: Controls, Monitors, and Protects 8 DC Circuits

Powered by a 12 or 24V battery bank, it controls up to 8 DC circuits, bipolar or unipolar. Each can support up to 25A, or even 40A by using a second circuit in parallel.

Key feature: the ShipPower8DC module measures the energy consumed by each piece of equipment and records it in a history, displayed either as a consumption curve or via a list of onboard consumers.

ShipPower4AC: Controls and Monitors 4 AC Circuits

Connected after the protective circuit breakers, it accepts all usual voltages (90 to 276V | 50-60Hz) and supports up to 32A per circuit via an external contactor (or 10A without an external contactor).

Key feature: the ShipPower4AC alerts its user in case of phase reversal at the shore power inlet or absence of ground. It also alerts in case of frequency deviation (useful when using generators).

ShipBS Module: Monitors a Battery Bank

Connected to the negative terminal of the 12, 24, or 48V battery bank, it measures:

  • differential current up to ± 380A (and supports nearly 2000A peak),
  • the bank’s voltage,
  • the battery temperature.

Key feature: Based on data from ShipBS and ShipPower8DC modules, ShipHeart™ is able to display charge and discharge current.

Accessories: Water and Temperature Sensors

Temperature Sensor

Our digital switching solution can receive up to 32 waterproof temperature sensors: this sensor measures the temperature of any area or element of the boat: refrigerator, engine compartment, converter, charger, pump…

Key feature: it connects to ShipBase in a few seconds via its 3 connection wires on the Onewire connector.

Water Presence Sensor

This water presence sensor is placed in the bilge of the vessel to detect any water ingress (near stuffing boxes, keel joints, thru-hulls, under tanks…).

Key feature: it can be installed using the provided double-sided adhesive or a screw and can trigger the start of a pump and an alarm.
